The first QLD tournament for the year was held on the Sunshine Coast with a great day had by all. Numbers were down on previous years however the standard of all divisions was high, a testament to the extra training sessions devoted to sports karate and the Soke Cup squad sessions.

The Gold Coast dojo karateka all performed very well with Anthony Horgan the stand out performer being crowned the tournament champion! For a number of the Gold Coast karateka this was their first tournament and all performed very well showing good karate technique and etiquette.
