News: 10-06-2007 ICKFA National Titles A fantastic result for GCCK at the ICKFA National Titles. 12 competitors entered the tournament with all achieving great success and gaining valuable experience.
For the first time the Chito-Ryu National titles were held in Queensland with the Sunshine Chito-Ryu Karate Association doing a fantastic job of hosting the event. The tournament was well organised and presented.
Gold Coasts biggest team in its short history attended the National titles with 12 competitors and also provided table officials. For the many of the competitors this was their first taste of tournaments and the excitment was evident as they prepared for their turn to compete. Whilst not everyone one a medal, all relished the opportunity to show of their karate skills in a pressure environment.
Sensei Adam was the recipient of the inaugural Bill Ker Perpetual Shield awarded to the Senior Tournament Champion.
In all it was a fantastic event with excellant manners and outstanding spirit being shown by all.
Congratulations to:-
