The 2007 Soke Cup was held in Bergen, Norway on the 4-5 August with competitiors from all over the world in attendance it was a fantastic display of Chito-Ryu Karate.

Representing Australia from the Gold Coast was Anthony Horgan and Sensei Adam Higgins. Anthony Horgan performed fantastically well, proving himself to be the stand out in his adult novie division winning both his kata and kumite events. This was a fitting reward for the dedication and work Anthony has put in to his training, particularly over the last 18 months.

Anthony is the first karateka from Gold Coast Chito-Ryu Karate to achieve this level of success. His performance in his division and in beating higher level karateka in the teams kumite event makes him one to watch in the next Soke Cup to be held in Kumamoto, Japan in 2010.
